Smits Response to Coronavirus and Our Business Continuity Plan

Last Updated 12/16/2021

Dear Valued Customer,

Like you, our organization is closely following recommendations of global health organizations as well as local authorities in the markets that we serve to ensure that our response to the Coronavirus outbreak is proportional to the situation.

It goes without saying that our main priority is protecting the health of our employees and their families, as well as our customers and partners. At the same time, we know you rely on us to help keep you comfortable. Be assured that we have continuity plans in place to continue to achieve both these goals.

We want our customers to know we are open for business but are adapting our approach in a few ways in consideration of what is happening in our communities:

  • We’ve instituted a pandemic plan across our organization that includes health and safety protocols so we can continue to serve you.
  • If you visit our office, our team members are available to help you, as always. We’re augmenting daily cleaning procedures at our facilities and have educated all team members on best practices recommended by the CDC.
  • We are working closely with suppliers to maintain the flow of products or find alternates where supplies may be limited. Like many, we are affected by the global shortage of pandemic-related products or the availability of those products for a time.
  • Please understand we must prioritize service calls to ensure customers with emergencies, health conditions, or other related problems be addressed first. If you have any needs at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.

While none us may know what the future holds, we want to assure you we are here to support you and have contingency plans in place to enable the continuity of supply and service delivery with the goal of being there for our customers while helping ensure the well-being of our team members.

As the Coronavirus and its impact continue to evolve and develop, we remain focused on the health and safety of our employees and our communities, as well as our commitment to you.
